Fantastic weekend at a great price.

We loved our weekend away at the camp site (group of 9, 2-4 Jul 21) and would thoroughly recommend Adventure river to anyone. Booking process was easy and Emrys was always quick to get in touch. He sorted out our package which included tents, bbq hire, comfortable set up with chairs, a communal tipi, an outside shelter for eating and two days on the river with Guide Rhys (also fantastic). There were more options available and we found the price was great.

Upon arrival I was greeted by Emrys who had set everything up ready for us. We were also visited by him and Laura throughout the weekend to check that we were ok. In addition, both were available throughout on the phone for any questions. We felt welcome from the beginning and will definitely be returning! There was another group on the site who were on their fourth stay, who return every year. This goes to show how good the set up is. 5/5 would go again.

" Will, thanks to you and the rest of Adventure River for providing an enjoyable and memorable event from start to finish. The picturesque meeting location overlooking the Wye really helped us to forget about day to day work issues and focus on the tasks at hand. The relaxed canoeing down the Wye was 1st rate, and your guides helped those who wanted to take more risks and get wet do just that, while people who were happier to sit in their boats could do that without feeling intimidated. And to top it off, camping under the stars in your “wild and secluded” campsite was fantastic! All we had to do was light the fire, cook the bbq and open our drinks, everything else was taken off of our hands, from pitching the tipis to cleaning the dishes. Thanks again for organising a great event! "

" Excellent weekend, Everything was well organised and easy and Sue and Graham were very nice to us and very helpful. I must say that the BBQ was a real high-light for us. All the kit was excellent but the meat was just superb. It’s reminded me that I need to support my local butcher a bit more. Those pork steaks were tremendous and even the sausages were far better than I’ve eaten for ages. It’s a great option to offer. The whole group had a first class time. I’d very much like to come back with my family when I get time. "

Can I just firstly say, what an AMAZING experience this was for a Stag party! I've been on a few Stag parties and this is, hands down, one of the most fun and unique Stag parties I've been on!

The whole set up from meeting on arrival, the large tipis arranged around a large campfire (even a fire pit in one of the tipis!), a large tent and seating for some shade, the already prepared and set up BBQ (with fantastic meat from a local butcher and plenty of it for second rounds of food later on!) the little chairs and lounge chairs to relax on, the location, the closeness to the river (with a small jetty to swim in) and only 10minutes walk to canoe center and walk into Monmouth, all of this made our stag party for 20 guys a great day and night.

Will, the organizer, hooked us up with a 7-mile canoe trip down the river (we all went fancy dress as well) which provided a whole day activity for the group, along with all the fun, excitement, and silliness expected of a stag party. Once back from the trip, the afternoon and evening events centered around drinks and food around the tipi site and since it was all set up and ready, the experience was seamless and worry-free!

I can't stress anymore how great Will and Adventure River are for organising well-considered, fun, unique, and thoroughly enjoyable countryside experiences for a large group. Perfect for any type of party groups, family events, stag parties or work events. Strongly recommend and I will seriously consider booking this again in near future.
