Tipis setup just for your group

Hire our magnificent hand made tipis for 1 night or for the whole weekend, we set them up for each group and put your tipis in a circle with a central campfire and wooden benches around it. We also put an internal campfire pit in one tipi so you can still have a sing song in the dry if it rains. We offer a SIMPLE tipi option, these are furnished with coir matting and sheepskins and sleep up to 7. The other option is the COMFY tipi, these come with coir matting, sheepskins, thick Vango Comfort sleeping mats and floor chairs, these sleep 5. There is a parking area at the end of the site, many groups like to meet there on a friday evening then depart either Sunday morning by 11 or after activities on the Sunday. You do need to vacate the tipis before Sunday activities.

Canoe Trips and Activities

Choose from a variety of activities including canoeing trips: for a full day 09:00-16:00 or a short day 11:30-16:00 or a half day 13:45-17:00 or on Sundays we offer an easy 10:45 to 15:00 option to allow people time to travel home. Other great activities for larger groups(10+) are Raft-building, Stand Up Paddle boarding and Orienteering as everyone is involved together. Smaller groups(10-) can also practically enjoy Mountain Biking or Rock climbing/Abseiling. Other activities not listed may be arranged in the area please Contact us for special requests.

The Tipi Site

We provide 1 bag of firewood per tipi per night plus some kindling and newspaper, extra bags are £5 each and must be bought on check-in or when we deliver BBQ setups, you can text us to order more, we provide a recycling and rubbish facility on each group area.

The top of the meadow has a parking area. Vehicles are not allowed on the site. Water is provided in large containers, there is a tap in the next field but it's advisable to come prepared with some reasonably large bottles to drink and refill.

Clean portaloos are on site, showers are available in the leisure centre by the canoe centre for around £2.20pp or £13per group, they are good facilities and they are very used to outdoor activity participants coming to shower, this is about 7 minutes walk from the tipis. It's good to have the option but in reality most people get freshened up falling out of their canoe.
